Nunn looks forward to having DeSantis and Ernst join him at event honoring veterans
Des Moines, IA – Today, Congressman Zach Nunn announced that Governor Ron DeSantis and Senator Joni Ernst will join him as special guests for Nunn’s inaugural annual event, Operation Top Nunn: Salute to the Troops.
The event will be on July 15, 2023, at the Ankeny Regional Airport from 1-3 PM.
Congressman Nunn looks forward to having DeSantis and Ernst join him in paying tribute to our veterans and their families at his first Operation Top Nunn event.
“As fellow veterans, Governor Ron DeSantis and Senator Joni Ernst are going to be great wingmen at the first Operation Top Nunn: Salute to the Troops event,” said Congressman Zach Nunn. “Iowans are fired up to hear from DeSantis and I’m honored to have Senator Joni Ernst join me in welcoming him back to Iowa.”
“The defense of country is the highest calling of citizenship,” said Governor Ron DeSantis. “As veterans who both served our nation in uniform overseas in the Middle East, Zach and I share a profound appreciation for the sacrifices our military servicemembers and families make for our country. I applaud Zach’s efforts to celebrate our heroes — and I can’t wait to return to Iowa to celebrate them with him.”
“I know the sacrifice our men and women in uniform make every day because for over two decades, I served alongside them. I look forward to celebrating our Iowa veterans with Zach at his event and joining him in welcoming Governor DeSantis back to Iowa,” said Senator Joni Ernst.
A portion of the ticket sales from Operation Top Nunn will go to Salute to the Fallen, an Iowa veterans organization that supports veteran mental health and preventing veteran suicide. Congressman Nunn looks forward to welcoming Iowans to join him in saluting his fellow Iowa veterans.
