As a father of six, Zach is familiar with the struggles too many Iowa families face. He is fighting to make it easier for parents to work, raise families, and pay the bills. His first bill that passed the House of Representatives expanded parental leave for military parents, ensuring those who serve our country have time with new children. He’s also led the charge to simplify adoption, expand child care options, and support working parents.
Zach put his life on the line to protect our First and Second Amendment Rights – he’s a firm believer in the right to free speech and the right to bear arms. Right now, our country is under attack from the radical efforts of the far left and Big Tech who are muzzling our constitutional rights. In Washington, he’s putting a stop to any DC politicians who try to tell us how to act or how to defend our families.
Out-of-control government spending has caused inflation to skyrocket, impacting every Iowa family’s ability to balance their checkbook. In Congress, he passed legislation to rein in government bureaucracy and the liberal wish lists impeding our economy. We must stop the tax-and-spend policies that have driven us to record cost levels and help get Americans back to work
Iowa is a special place and we need to keep it that way. As your voice in Washington, Zach is fighting to keep our families and neighborhoods safe by supporting our heroes in law enforcement and first responders who serve our communities. As your representative, he helped pass the most comprehensive border security solution – ensuring that we’re combatting the flow of illegal drugs, human trafficking, and exploitation coming across our Southern Border.
As a faith-oriented man, Zach will always stand with Iowa’s most vulnerable – that means protecting our seniors, our disabled, and our unborn. He is a recognized pro-life leader, committed to fighting for the unborn. Zach continues to advocate for Iowa’s next generations in Washington, while Democrats continue to allow abortion on demand. As a father of six, two of which he adopted earlier this year, Zach is fighting in Congress to simplify the adoption process and ensure every child finds their forever home.
America is the greatest nation in the world and we must continue protecting our citizens from all enemies foreign and domestic – both at home and abroad. As a 20 year combat veteran, Zach knows the importance of a strong military when it comes to defending our country, protecting democracy, and promoting peace. In Washington, he supported policies that not only adequately fund our military but prioritize our veterans, active military, military families, and mental health.
The hands, hearts, and hard work of Iowa farmers feed and fuel our country. Zach fights in DC for a Farm Bill to ensure Iowa’s farmers and rural communities have support they need to continue to drive Iowa’s economy. Also a tireless advocate for Iowa’s biofuels and ethanol producers, he pushed for strong support for renewable fuels that help make America more energy independent. He’ll continue to be a voice at the table for Iowa’s rural communities, ensuring their voice drives decisions – not Washington bureaucrats.
As Iowans, we live in tight-knit communities and will always lend a helping hand to our neighbors during natural disasters and tough times. We are selfless, hard-working, and honest people living right in the Heartland of America – and Zach is working every day to bring more of these values to Washington.
